The LaserJet 1010 uses 6 toner cartridges, including HP Q2612A, TRO 0281132001 and XER 6R1414.
HP Q2612A (HP 12A) prints 2000 pages, HP Q2612D (HP 12A) prints 4000 pages. Choose HP Q2612D (HP 12A) for high-volume printing (lower cost per page); HP Q2612A (HP 12A) costs less upfront for occasional use.
The CTC Q2612X cartridge has an approximate yield of 3000 pages.
For HP Q2612A you can choose Genuine HP (HP Q2612A (HP 12A)) or a Remanufactured option (CTC Q2612A) at a lower price per page, same 2000 page yield. For HP Q2612X you can choose Genuine HP (HP Q2612X (HP 12X)) or a Remanufactured option (CTC Q2612X (CTC 12X)) at a lower price per page, same 3000 page yield.
If your LaserJet 1010 displays a "Supply Problem" alert, it's almost always the cartridge chip not being read correctly — not a faulty cartridge. Switch the printer off for about 30 seconds, take the cartridge out and slot it back in firmly, then wipe the small metal chip contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth. Still showing the alert? Install a fresh CTC Q2612X or reach out to our support team.
These quick tips apply to all laser printers. While your exact model may look slightly different, the steps are identical.
