Frequently Asked Questions
The 2585 uses a single toner cartridge, SAV 9866. SAV 9866 yields 55000 pages.
The SAV 9866 cartridge has an approximate yield of 55000 pages.
For SAV 9866 you can choose Genuine Savin (SAV 9866) or a Remanufactured option (CTC 9866) at a lower price per page, same 55000 page yield.
A "Supply Problem" message on the 2585 usually points to a chip-communication hiccup rather than an empty cartridge. Power-cycle the printer (off for 30 seconds, then on), reseat the cartridge until it clicks into place, and gently clean the gold chip contacts with a dry cloth. If the message returns, a replacement SAV 9866 will clear it.
